Just Trying To Stay 'Cool'
Anthony Hamilton was gone for a minute but he has made a soulful return with the release of his latest single and video for 'Cool.' Anthony Hamilton is definitely cool throughout the video, even in the face of every day struggles. David Banner's rap is far from cool, the song would be much better without it. Sorry David. Needless to say, the video has a great feel good Southern vibe to it. I feel like taking a trip down south after watching the video. The Point Of It All, Hamilton's upcoming release, drops on December 2. AH describes the sound on his upcoming set as feel good music, "I've taken fans to church and baptized them; there are those who say I've healed them with my music. Now we're going to boogie in the name of the Lord." In the meantime, the soul singer is taking his show on the road, making stops in NYC, Baltimore, Cleveland and Houston. Anthony Hamilton Gearing Up For New Release Al Green and Mavis Staples' love child Anthony Hamilton is putting the finishing touches on a new project. Previous releases, Comin' From Where I'm From and Ain't Nobody Worryin' are a superb blend of country, soul, and gospel. Hamilton describes his upcoming release, The Point of It All, as "a great body of work- new songs, new attitudes." Hamilton says the uptempo vibe of the album may surprise some fans, "I want to give them something they can jam to as well, the first single off the album will be a little bit more upbeat.” Anthony Hamilton collaborated with Al Green on his latest release Lay It Down, speaking of the experience Anthony Hamilton said “I learned a lot about how you give it [music] to people, how raw you can be, and how open and honest you can be in your music.”

The Point of It All is expected to drop later this year.
