Soul Tracks

Today's selection comes from the Memphis based Stax Records. 'I Forgot To Be Your Lover' was recorded by Memphis born singer/ songwriter/producer William Bell, one the architects of the classic Stax sound. 'I Forgot To Be Your Lover' was a 1968 hit taken from the album Bound To Happen but is seldom heard on radio nowadays. More recently, Jaheim sampled the song for his hit 'Put That Woman First' from his 2002 release Still Ghetto. Enjoy William Bell's plea to his neglected lover.
